15 Years Champion Girl 2022

Physie has been in Mykenzie's family for many years with Teaching and competing. She has also made some lifelong friends at Coffs Harbour Kannella Physie and other clubs, over the last 11 years.

Mykenzie kicked off her physie life as a 4 year old and competed in the 5years section with a light pink leotard & silver frill. How special that she has again wore a light pink leotard, which is her favourite. This leotard is extra special, as it was her Aunty's and is so sentimental for everyone in her family and club. If she is selected to compete at Grand, she will pick her leotard colour & style, then it's up to Nan to whip it up and her Aunty to do the bling. A big team effort!

Mykenzie's Teacher Ann, describes her a true star in every way. She has a mindset that knows nothing is achieved without hard work, commitment and dedication. It is rare to have to tell "Mac' the same thing twice. All improvements, suggestions and feedback are absorbed like a sponge! The younger girls are in awe of her grace & strength and our more senior members love her humility and kind nature. Mykenzie remembers the tips that Ann gives her, in particular to relax & enjoy herself, have fun with it and it will reflect in her performance.

On competition day, Mykenzie says it can be a little hectic getting ready, with her sister usually competing as well. Hair, makeup, stretch and a run thru with Mum, check positions and make sure you have everything packed. Unfortunately one year, Mykenzie forgot to pack her tights & ballets, her poor Uncle had to find them and bring them to the comp. Stressful for Mum, but now they have a good laugh about it.

Even though Mykenzie has competed at Grand every year, she still gets quite nervous. She puts in a lot of hard work to get there and watching all the amazing physie girls compete is the highlight of the physie year, she is just so happy to be part of it.
